(L.A.) Richard Amado, 55, Died From a Head Shot

Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 55-year-old Latino male that occurred on a street.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Richard Amado.

Manner of Death: Homicide

Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound of the Head

RIP RICHARD AMADO (November 19, 1967 – June 19, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Monday at 5:39 p.m.

The decedent was living in a recreational vehicle in the unincorporated Florence-Firestone area.

Deputies from the LASD’s Century Station had responded to the 1600 block of East 76th St at around 5:25 p.m.

Investigation revealed that Amado’s RV was parked in a cul-de-sac and three men walked to the end of the cul-de-sac, engaged with him and then shot him before they ran from the scene.
