Los Angeles County is reporting the death of a 44-year-old Latino male that occurred at his residence.

The coroner’s office has identified the man as Michael Acosta.

Manner of Death: Accident

Cause of Death: Combined Effects of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl

RIP MICHAEL ACOSTA (February 5, 1979 – June 4, 2023)

Formal pronouncement of death was made on Sunday at 5:55 a.m.

Ruling by the deputy medical examiner was published on July 18/19, presumably after the results of tox screening came back.

Note that there are multiple decedents named “Michael Acosta” in public records.
