Wil Wheaton Says Prayer is Useless, Calls Paul Ryan a Sack of Sh*t
A mere few hours after more than 20 people were killed while attending church in Texas, actor Wil Wheaton decided to express his anger to House Speaker Paul Ryan by tweeting the following:
The murdered victims were in a church. If prayers did anything, they’d still be alive, you worthless sack of shit.

The speaker had just expressed sympathy for the victims after hearing of reports from Texas.
Reports out of Texas are devastating. The people of Sutherland Springs need our prayers right now.

After receiving criticism, the actor posted that he was not talking about faith or religion, but instead was frustrated at Ryan’s stance on gun laws.
I'm not talking about religion or faith at all. I am talking about the speaker of the house who does nothing to address gun violence. https://t.co/PjfjR2G1Ut

And then he apologized in a series of tweets:
Hey, real and actual people of faith: I hear you. I apologise for insulting you, in my rage at Paul Ryan's refusal to address gun violence.

Your faith is your business, and people like Paul Ryan exploit it while they hide behind words without deeds, and people continue to die.

Because I want to be sure sincere people of Faith see this: I spoke in anger, and I apologize to you.
