UFC Champion Kamaru Usman’s Twitter Account Hacked!

While most MMA athletes and fans were focused on UFC 246 featuring superstar Conor McGregor, a hacker or group of hackers executed a takeover of UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman’s official Twitter account.

At around 6:19 pm Pacific time, the @USMAN84kg account on Twitter starting posting vulgar, expletive-ridden tweets calling out Mike Tyson, @TheNotoriousMMA and @FloydMayweather, as well as offering to tweet Usman’s bank password if the @1337luka account reaches 1,000 followers — the threat included a screenshot of what are purportedly the cash balances in the checking and savings accounts of Usman at Wells Fargo Bank.

The hacker(s) are apparently affiliated with or the same as those who broke into singer Mariah Carey’s Twitter account on New Year’s Eve.

By 6:32 pm, Usman’s manager Ali Abdelaziz tweeted from his own blue-ticked account @AliAbdelaziz00 about the hacking.

“Guys Kamaru Usman’s @USMAN84kg Twitter has been hacked UFC is working on getting it back.”
