It took close to an hour before the tweet was unliked — giving rise to speculation that the Liker had fallen asleep after watching it and had to be woken up.

Bets are on as to who will be blamed for the immoral liking come Tuesday morning… Intern? Staff? Family Member?

The tweeted video by the account SexuallPosts was more than two minutes long and featured a bespectacled woman walking into her house and discovering a young couple having sex on the living-room sofa. The woman then proceeded to masturbate herself.

SexuallPosts quickly updated their Twitter profile bio to state:

As of midnight, the NSFW account had acquired 601,000 followers. Senator Cruz has 3 million followers. They do not follow each other. The Senator’s account either encountered it on his feed as a retweet or fave of the other accounts he’s following or… he purposely sought it out.

A separate verified account of the senator has the handle @SenTedCruz. Its blurb is: “Representing the State of Texas in the United States Senate” and it appears to tweet more posts related official business. It has a modest one million followers.

The senator’s personal (!) Twitter account @TedCruz has a bio that states: “Father of two, @heidicruz’s husband, father for liberty… Born on December 22.”

UPDATE! UPDATE! UPDATE!!!

A spokeswoman for Sen. Ted Cruz announced early Tuesday morning that the “Like” has been undone and reported to the Twitter. Apparently, the senator’s camp are trying to get the porn account suspended or at least have the particular tweet totally removed. No explanation yet as to who committed the morally outrageous act of Liking the pornographic video.
