Russia’s verified official account on Twitter calls out Jack Dorsey’s hypocrisy!

Russia managed to dig up an old tweet from 2017 when Twitter was struggling to find funding and so was approaching several countries, including Indonesia and Russia!

The history is especially ironic in light of recent news that Twitter’s userbase is substantially made up of bots and zombie accounts, and as reported by Twitter itself, “troll” accounts deployed by Russia. The term of art is more accurately “astroturfing” of the same sort used by the U.S. Democratic Party in the 2008 elections.

The revenue-generating departments of Twitter are known for approaching anyone with a big budget, including RT, but then subsequently reneging (?) once the agreements come to be known to the critical American public.
