Former Rugby Star Taniela Moa Dies at 36
Former rugby star Taniela Moa has died at 36 years of age.
Tonga’s Rugby Union labelled the halfback a ‘legendary great’ within the sport as they released a statement confirming his death.
Auckland Rugby would like to acknowledge the sad passing of Taniela Moa.
Taniela had 58 caps in the Blue and White Hoops winning two NPC titles. Taniela also went on to represent Tonga on 20 occasions.

Moa’s cause of death has not yet been revealed. He was born in Tonga on March 11, 1985. The athlet’s listed date of death is December 16, 2021.
