RIP CHRISTOPHER TEAGARDIN (November 9, 1975 – January 31, 2023)

The decedent Chris Teagardin and his friend Timothy Schultz, 49, were innocent victims in the widely reported Panorama City crash involving a high-speed police chase.

On Tuesday evening, police officers attempted to pull over a black pickup truck that was reportedly stolen. The driver suddenly took off, kicking off the chase.

The pursuit was making its way through the San Fernando Valley shortly before 8 p.m. when the driver, with several passengers, crashed into a silver sedan at the intersection of Lanark Street and Woodman Avenue.

The sedan’s driver and passenger, Teagardin and Schultz, were pronounced dead on the scene.

Oscar dela Cruz, the driver of the stolen truck, had been wanted on a felony warrant. He is now charged with murder.
