Terror on New York City Subway: 10 People Shot by Lunatic in Brooklyn

The shooting happened on Tuesday around 8:30 am ET at the 36th Street station in Sunset Park, Brooklyn.

UPDATE #1: Police are looking for a U-Haul van with Arizona license plates that may be linked to the suspect, who is a Black male. He was wearing a green construction vest and a gray hooded sweatshirt. The suspect is reportedly about 5 feet and 5 inches tall with a heavy build.

UPDATE #2: Law enforcement officials believe they have identified the man who rented the U-Haul linked to the Brooklyn subway shooting suspect. A credit card used to rent a U-Haul cargo van helped investigators in New York quickly identify the suspect.

UPDATE #3: Brooklyn shooting suspect Frank James called Crime Stoppers on himself. He has been arrested. No bail.

An FDNY spokesperson says 16 people are hospitalized, including five people in critical condition and 10 people suffering from gunshot wounds.

Police are searching for the suspect and local schools have activated a “shelter in place” order, according to a spokesperson for the Education Department. An NYPD spokesperson says the motive remains unclear.
