Young Brazilian Dentist Dies from Heart Attack Suffered During Fitness Test

Darlene Sonaria Ferreira, 30, suffered a heart attack during a physical aptitude test in the city of Fortaleza and was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

The thirty-year-old was participating in an event sponsored by the military police of Ceará, a state in Northeastern Brazil.

After collapsing, she was attended to by an onsite medical team and was still alive when transported to the hospital, but wasn’t able to pull through.

Darlene was born in the municipality of Riacho de Santana, in Rio Grande do Norte. At the time of her death, she was employed as a dentist in the municipality of Iracema, in the interior of Ceará.
